who is using either of these bulbs and which do you like better? How does each bulb affect the color differently?

I've used both and like the Aquasun better, it seems to give good color rendition for nearly everything in my tanks and also is a high PAR bulb.

Thanks, Howard! Are you using the Aquasun now, do you have a pic of your tank with it?

Yes I use the Aquasun now along with the Actinic White and a Super Actinic on my 55g. The Aquasun starts out as a bright whitish 10K color with a hint of pink and turns more pink as the bulb ages. I think it's a great full spectrum bulb. I don't have any pics right now as I'm out of magicubes at the moment.

My aquasun is too pink for me. It seems like it over powers my 2 Blue plus and 1 Aquablue. I wish it wasn't so pink.

I've been running the Procolor for several months and it's a great bulb that tosses in a unique look to the overall tank appearance. The Par reading isn't high because most Par meters can't detect the red spectrum that the Procolor primarily gives off.

thanks toaster and reefrocker... what other bulbs are you running with the Procolor? Any tank pics?

Howard... LOL...NOW I remember those things! (I am older than dirt) My Grandmother should have owned stock in them! All I remember whenever we took family pics is that she always had to change out her magicube!!

Hi, I don't have any updated pictures, but this is what color I have from the Procolor. Note that other factors play in attaining this color, so it's not just the Procolor that gave me this color, it did help a bit though. :)
