I have used prodibio for quite a while with very good results. I use biodigest weekly along with daily vodka/sugar dosing. It takes a bit of time to see results, but it has really help keep my nitrate/phosphate in check and algae low in the tank. I have a heavily stocked FOWLR with the messy eaters in my signature, except for the tang. Replacing the tang with a one spot foxface and adding three yellow tail damsels to finish off the tank who will begin quarantine tomorrow. I also feed extremely heavily with two feedsing of large NLS pellets and two large meaty feedings of homemade food daily. I think to obtain the best results the use of carbon dosing makes a big difference.
I had real problems with my nitrate and phosphate and resulting major algae issues. I started carbon dosing which helped but did not get me out of the woods. I then added prodibio into the mix combined with aggressive lighting period reductions and had a major algae die off. I accukulated substantial detrus durign this period, and I did notice that a day following each prodibio dose the detrus would greatly reduce. It took about 1 montth, and my tank was clean.
At their worst, my nitrates measured over 100. My nitrates now measure under 20. No idea about what my phosphate measured then or now because I never tested. But I know I had them based on the major amount of hair algae I had.
