hey kirsten glad things are looking better. I am not sure but do you think we are using too much bioptim at one time. I am doing 1 of all 3 every sunday and algeas are going away the red slime is still there but not getting any worse. I am not removing a bit of it because I think it will go away on it's own and if it goes away by itself I will be feeling alot better about it staying away than sucking it out and hoping. it is only in the corners where it's lower flow so I ordered the tunze 6100 transformers to bump up my 6000's. hopefully this does the trick or it's a wavebox in my near future.
mike isn't it great I don't think mine was 10 days but it was long enough to lose track of the last time I did it. 4-5 days and I am extremely happy. before was every 2 maximum.

Dosage for Bioptim is 1 ampule per 50g.
Dosage for Digest is 1 ampule per 250g.
Maybe I should not work so hard to get all that Digest out?
And I am under dosing the Bioptim.
From your posting of Reefresh dosages, I think I was over kill on the Genisis. I used 7 drops per instruction but you use 1.
Funny how my tank seemed to not like the Reefresh and going off of it hurt Darkphreak's tank........Strange.
My cyano is dark purple to black and it grows in high flow more so than in low flow. I HATE IT. It was my reason for starting this stuff.

It says on mine 1 ampule for 1000 liters. Is that where you come up with 250g per each Digest? If that is the case, maybe that is what I'm doing wrong. I've been putting in 3 in my tank, and I have a water volume of 330g. 
The Bioptim is 1 ampule for 200 liters. If we call that 50g, then I'd need 6 or 7 of those at a time.

So now maybe the coral loss was because of 3 Digest, the bacteria part. This is where I think my problem came from the Reefresh......too many drops of bacteria per day.
And now I am thinking I should really do the 3 bioptim because it says it is necessary for the bacteria populations. What if when we dose too much bacteria and not enough fuel for it, it dies and does bad things????

I was reading about Prodibio products in some European forums and there were two reports that caught my attention.
Two different people were saying that after adding Bio Digest, their anemones started releasing chemicals into their tanks. This reaction form the anemones caused some serious problems with the fish on those tanks.
Anybody with a similar experience ?

I am actually not the first to dose as I am. I am a copy cat of someone we all know with great results. I have very close to the same water volume maybe 20-30 gallons more. my tank is not as well grown as his so I may change my dosage in the future but I have done this for I think 3 weeks in a row without extra diatoms or algea growth after dosing. corals seem happy. the tanks over all appearance is better in my opinion.
I like prodibio alot but I do not like slamming my tank with a suppliment all at once then nothing for 2 weeks. I think in my opinion less can be used if spread more evenly. I don't like starve feed then starve feed. this is also why I use reefresh which I more than likely will not use any longer once it is gone I am more than likely going to start the aahc and cv at that time. I will at that time try to not use an extra carbon source .
