product for my tank??

well the cycle is pretty much done in my tank and i have some zoas in there right now and thats it....i am getting more coral soon but for them to grow i assume i need some products for them to grow.

what do i need??

calcium?
etc?
etc?
etc?

i dont know what to get??

For a 6 gallon with softies? Just WC is all you would need.

Rule number 1, don't dose anything you can't test for. IMO, you don't need to dose anything if you only have softies and even with LPS you should be able to keep up with the Ca and Alk demands with frequent water changes. If you jump to SPS and Clams then get some B-Ionic or better yet get the ingredients and make your own 3 part, but again don't forget the test kits before you start to dose.

Yeah dosing anything in 6 gallons is risky, you'd want to mix it up in a gallon of water almost to make sure it didn't directly hit a coral when added to the tank.
as cheap as water changes to a 6 will be I'd go with those only for now. I'd do 2 gallons a week with a good salt, make sure to test a few times till you figure out what is in the salt mix as far as ph and alk and calcium.

You can put a monti in there. It would prolly be poo brown in color though.

Its ok if its poo brown kev you can say "my monti is the SH*T"
keeping bright colored sps is hard, you could do a monti cap but it will grow too big, they are easier to keep colorful. One of mine is a bright pink but in a non MH or non-zeo or non-prodibio tank it might end up just a shade of darker orange I think thats what Russ means.

I agree Rics will be nice, they are so colorful and don't take up a whole lot of room.
Scott had some blue and orange rics that someone traded in a few weeks ago other than that I don't know who else has em, they are touch to find, especially the really bright ones!
I'll give you some candycane, (not the super green one Randall wanted) but green nonetheless if you want to try them out. They do grow big though, but you could frag them very easily and trade the pieces in for other stuff so it could be a good idea.

lol hey kevin was the one buggin you about the neon green candy cane. Thats like his favorite coral and he wants one really bad. I think rics are cool too with some sweet zoas and acans. I think kev should do an acan dominate tank. There are some pretty cool ones on the .com. His tank will be ballin here shortly!
