product manuel for DOC 9011

I just purchased a 9011 from a friend but he didnt have the manual, box, or directions. is there some where online that I can download it ?

Ive also see these skimmers have an extension kit. what doesn that do? any insight would be helpful as I kinda just bought it bc I know Tunze makes great products.

You can download a PDF of the manual on Tunze.com. A 9011 would have included an extension set and the application is covered in the manual.

maybe it was the 9010

Really the same skimmer except the 9011 comes with a magnet holder and slightly different pump, otherwise there is no real difference.

what does the extension kit do? is it necessary for insump operation>?

It allows the skimmer to run in 4-10.5" of water, it is not required for in sump operation but without it you need a roughly constant 10.5" of water in the sump.
