Switchable pH, Redox, and Conductivity Ports
Gone are the days of having to go out and buy an additional module just to add a second pH or Redox probe. With ProfiLux 4, you have the option to switch the behavior of specific probe ports. For example, you can switch a Redox port to read pH and vise versa. You can essentially have two pH or two Redox ports right out of the box! The Conductivity port can be set to read freshwater and saltwater ranges, perfect for pond and cichlid tanks.

Built-in WiFi
Connect the ProfiLux 4 to an exisiting WiFi network and benefit from not having to run a cable into your internet router. That's quite the convenience!

Unmatched Expansion Options
Like the ProfiLux 3, the new ProfiLux 4 includes a large selection of expansion options. Best of all, when you need to add an expansion card, simply add it to one of the available 2 expansion slots found inside the ProfiLux 4. No need to buy modules for this and that, just pop the card in and you're good to go!

Between Expansion cards and Expansion Boxes, you can expand the ProfiLux to nearly no limit!

When will alk and calcium monitoring be available?

Will alk and calcium monitoring be available on Profilux 3.1?

Do you guys have any pics of new Profilux Touch?

When will alk and calcium monitoring be available?
In 2017, it is planned for the first half of the year. Prices, release date and all other details will be announced later.

Will alk and calcium monitoring be available on Profilux 3.1?
Yes, we try to make it compatible for P3

Do you guys have any pics of new Profilux Touch?
There is no new ProfiLux Touch.

If I buy the profilux 4 do I need to just buy the slave units of the dosing 2 pumps or do i need the stand alone units?

You may buy either, but the Slave is all that is required.

You can turn a Standalone into a Slave, but cannot turn a Slave into a Standalone. :)

Is the new model more user friendly than the profilux 3? Is support available without having to decipher the German ghl site? The US support has notoriously sucked. I wish I had more positive things to say...but most reefers needs can be more easily handles by several competitors controllers. I have the P3 and am sorta stuck with it, but I get jealous when I see how easy it is to configure functions on other controllers (Cerebra, Apex, etc.).

What experience makes you say the US support is lacking? For almost two years now, GHL USA has turned around support and has released updated manuals, provided much quicker response times, greatly improved product availability, remote support, one on one walkthroughs, etc. You can even get support on the weekends. IMO, the support is there, you just have use the resources available to you and reach out to the team when you need assistance. If you haven't tried their support in the past 2 years, you should reach out to them and you'll see how much has changed.

Everyone will interpret "user friendly" in a differently way. I've setup an Apex before, I'll have to disagree with you on the ease of setup, it took longer to setup one function on the apex then it ever did on a ProfiLux. Mess up one line of code and you will get nothing out of the apex. Take a look at the number of problems the new apex is having, if it's not their head unit, it's their powerstrips. If not that, it's their dosing units...

You should look over the P3 startup guide. It is basically a how-to manual for the most commonly used functions with plenty of photos to guide you.

I also have to say that since the great Marco and the FB page, any support is answered in about 10 minutes with a solution.

If Marco is not about, there is ALWAYS someone willing to help.

Thank You,

problem with the profilux 4 is that they still use the same display which will fail, i have had two of the profilux displays fail.

Have you verified this with the actual hardware utilized in the new units? Please provide the facts so I can base decisions on facts not hearsay.

It is not the same display unit.

P4 models have not yet been delivered to end users.

I used to share a bit in your frustrations but GHL has listened to its USA customers and made HUGE strides in support over the past year.
Marco, reefrockerlive, slief... all awesome additions to the support side of things and they can get you're questions answered quick!
Check out the FB group as well for fast response.

Unfortunately you have to be a member to access this facebook page! Makes it difficult when a lot of information is clearly going this path and you don't want an account. (Unlike a forum where you can view but not post if not joined)

Any special reason you don't want to make a fb account?
Doesn't even have to be your real name.
I hate fb, but it is what it is.

But regardless, the guys are here and on R 2 R as well.

I'd like to know what information is lacking? The official GHL forum(Search feature...) and direct email support has always been the best source for information.

I do, however, believe it's obvious that people want more content in a form of videos and tutorials. Marco and Slief have been doing a great job in this area too!

I have no need for it therefore I don't even want an account.

OK, I don't know if there is anything of value on this FB page? I just don't know if people are migrating to this or if everything that is seen there is seen here?
Plenty of places which are public that you can see, and I don't need an account for.
Sorry hijacked the thread here so no more comments here.

Certainly nice to see the P4 and wonder if it has more memory and an ability now to log switching and other parameters like the opposition.
