ProfiLux and Ai LED questions here please

Clarification -

All profilux ranges work with Ai LED units, at the time of writing we are waiting for an update to version 4.08 for profiLux II users so they can connect to the new style Ai light units, I do not have a release date but it will be soon. Both Ai and GHL are in communication as of today.

With GHL being closed for a week for annual holiday they will be naturally playing catch up this week.

In regards to what do you need to connect to the ProfiLux - 1 x Ai cable from reef Geek nothing else. This is the same for PII and P3

Hey im in the process of getting a profilux light and wanted to know what software to down load to controller my new AI fixtures.

we will receive our two Ai units on Monday, but I will not have the cable to hook them up, as soon as I do I will fire off some vid for you, although I am tankless right now :(

I got the RO unit all plumbed up though, does that count? ;)

I need the cable also, where can it be purchased??

next month we will carry them for our dealers, but until then please purchase from reef geek.

I understand RG maybe coming online as a GHL dealer also. Not confirmed yet.

Someones gotta pull the trigger

Someones gotta pull the trigger

Im not buying my profilux lite until i know the cord and software is ready.

Curious...

Talking to the dealers of the AI lights, they say there are 4 power plugs and the units are daisy chained together for the automation part. Can I plug these directly into a wall plug or do they require a powerbar plug to get all the effects???

Thanks, Tim

well the software is ready and has been for sometime now and the cords are available at reef Geek

Tim - what are we talking about here Ai light of profilux unit?

for an AI set-up...

I have the P3 without the upgrade and am adding one controllable GHL fan with two Tunze pumps. If I add an AI setup this would add another S1 port need. 4 total:
1 GHL Fan
2 Tunze's
1 AI lights
and all of them can be controlled seperately... Right.

With the above question, do I need 4 more controllable sockets for the AI or plug them all into the wall?

Thanks, Tim

Maybe I need the EX upgrade also to get more S1 ports

Ok I see the confusion

You dont need to add anything to control Ai, the control line is the RS232 port, all you need is the Ai RS232 cable.

The Ai power just plugs into any wall socket.

This is what makes the profiLux so unique and also brings the price right down as the functionality is already there with no further expansion required, Ai control is a standard GHL feature with EVERY GHL controller
