how come there isn't an App for this, if aqua controller and reefkeeper both has one we also should

Who says there is not one?

go to www.aquariumcomputer.com/forum and scroll down in the English section in the PC and conmmunication thread and look for Reef Status

There you will find far more than just an APP :) A massvily long thread charting the development of the Reef Status develpment.

Far more than what the others can offer and this is just the start wait until you see the profiLux 3 webserver :)

And this is what GHL ProfiLux are so proud of they do not make you go to a store to "BUY" something it is supplied for free.

You will find all support for Reef Staus, kindly developed and supplied for free on the support forum, I see you have posted there and one of the many uses will help you out shortly ;)

Thought...

Thought...

Since the PIII is a webserver... does that mean that we will have access to it throught the Blackberry?

Just go to it through the internet on my blackberry phone?

Thanks

I asked because...

I asked because...

I can not get into my banking programs beause of their security...

Lots of apps are free...
So in reality Reef Status isn't really an APP so to speak...

It is a web based App IPhone App. I would really like to port it to an native IPhone App but I do not have the equipment to do so. You need to have a Mac With OSX Leopard or greater And I only have an old MacMini and a couple of windows PCs.

Xiann42 ... I really appreciate all your efforts in developing your web app. I'm not sure if GHL are planning on a native iPhone App or not (like Neptune already has for their controllers), but if you are interested, I'd be willing to send you a currently unused older (but Intel based) Mac Mini that can run Leopard. It has one of the original Core Duo processors in it, but should work fine for you as a direct replacement for your Mini.

Anyway, I'd be willing to send it to you free of charge for the sake of development if you are really interested in porting your app as a native iPhone App. You could submit it to Apple as an official App then?

LMK ...

On another note, can't your old Mini run Leopard? I have an old eMac running Leopard ... That was a G4 based Mac. I also have a G5 iMac that happily runs Leopard. Snow Leopard requires a newer Intel-based Mac ...
