Hi,
am looking to make a top-off system for my freshwater tank, i will use a 10g tank as reservoir to top-off my 45 gallon when am a way for 3 weeks, how does it work? what will cause this device to fail (water surface scum, plants leaves.........

no longer available, we found too many variables in terms of glass quality that restricted its useage.

non contact sensor not working

non contact sensor not working

I've just purchased two of these non contact sensors (one for my acrylic ATO reservoir and the other on my glass sump). The one for the acrylic reservoir seems to be working fine, but the one on the glass sump can't distinguish above or below the water level. I was doing a search of instruction on the web and found this thread. Should I return the sensor and purchase the optical level sensor instead?
