The brightness is the same, the spot gives a more diectional light path, which is good for simulating things like moon intensity more in one area and then fading across the tank.
Another one, the port L1&L2 (0-10v) will be use for the led ( L1 for the Moon and L2 for the Sunrise. If i want to control 2 tunzes pumps, i use the L3&L4?
What cable do i need to purchase ?
The beginner pack can control led (moon-sunrise) and 2 tunzes without purchase a expansion module?
And.. last one : I want to add a 4 Way Switchable Plug Bar to contole 2 MH & T5 (on-off only no dimmer ) under the tank (near the controller) and use the 6 plug bar in the basement for the sump-frag tank ( pump, skimmer, RODI, heater.. etc ).
Problem with this configuration? I have about 20 feet between the aquarium and sump.
Chris the beginner pack can control LED's and Tunze. You will need to purchase Tunze cable's 1 and 2 and a YL2-1 splitter for the cables.
As long as you are only running one LED you won't need any additional cables unless you need extra cord length at which point you could add a VSL5 cable. Two LED's require a YL2-1 or YL2-2,5 splitter cable.
I personally would use High AMPS for any metal halide lighting applications. The High amps switch on and off via a socket on a digital power bar. I suppose extension cords could achieve this from 20 feet away. You will need a VSL5 cable to control your digital power bar as the cord that comes with it is 2.5 meters long.
They are 55cm long, there is no LUX data for these units, but they are very bright, if you scan youtube using key search words ProfiLux LED you will see some great video of these units in action, including the storm effect lightning show
Here's a laugh: when I searched on "ProfiLux LED" I kept coming up with Led Zepelin videos! LOL! I changed it to "ProfiLux Light" and got better results.
Harry, if you ran them at 100%, how would they compare to, say, a PC actinic running over the tank? I am wondering about how they would work for dusk lighting after the halides go off... thx!
