I am having a bit of a problem with the controller. I want to hook it up to the computer and it will not recognize the device.
A little back ground, I picked this up second hand from some one that had it for about 8 months and decided this hobby was not for him. with it came 2 moon lights the cooling fan a dousing pump and a few probes. so when I got home with it I wanted to update it so I went on aquariumcomputer.com and downloaded ProfiLuxControl II, Version 4.0.8.1 and installed it with no problems.
i am linking the profilux via the RS232 port on the back of the unit to the green port in the back of my computer ( i am hoping it is the proper port). so when I open up the program under communication it reads (rs232) and a button to connect. now when I hit the connect an error comes up and saying the program has stopped working and will shut down.
so what am I doing wrong?
