Are there any benifits to using these? or is it just something you personally choose to put in your tanks? i run 6 korillas in my 375 and i was wondering if i used programable ones if it would help out the tank at all...
thanks.

well, programmable wave makers give the tank a more natural method of water movement. Some off the ability to create random currents, if you have soft corals in your tank, your will physically see different flow rates which will make your tank appear more interesting. I would say lps and sps corals would benifit from the random water movements in terms of feeding. Im currently looking at the vortech mp40w which has the ability to create 'waves' in the tank
(more so if used as a pair) and has a feed setting, which stops water movement for ten minutes. It can also connect to another (or multiple) mp40w's wirelessly via bluetooth. This allows the pumps to connect in perfect harmony. Nice bit of kit!
