yea, I plan on replacing the float with a plastic one, but didnt want to pay $12 at depot for an entire setup at Home depot.

Take a trip to the dump and find an old toilet bowl and get the float ball assy. LOL

we only have a transfer station here so thats not the easiest thing to do. but good idea. I did have to adjust the level a little last night but it cut off just as i expected it to.

Use a chunk of Styrofoam from some packing material.

DANG!!! I may just do that. just didnt want it to degrade but a good cube of foam would work well.
