Propeller sticking on 6025

Just got a second 6025 yesterday. It ran fine last night but this morning when the lights came on I noticed it wasn't running. I unplugged it and took it apart to see if something was stuck in it but didn't see anything. I can get it to run out of the water with the cover off, as soon as I put the cover on and submerge it, it sticks. I also need to flick the propeller in order to get it running, seems like something is either too big or too small.

Has anyone else had this problem?

It will run with cover on out of the water if I flick the propeller to get it started and put the cover on. It will not run with the cover off in the water because as soon as it hits the tension created by the water, it get's stuck again. I'm thinking either the shaft the magnet rides on is slightly crooked or the opening is too small, there seems to be more tension on it then just the magnetic resistance.

I was just trying to eliminate anything obvious such as the nozzle blocking the prop, looks like you need to hookup with Roger.

Jeff,

Is this pump a new one with the round cord or the older one with the flat cord? I ask because the designs are slightly different. The cause could be different as a result.
