proper height for lumen brights

i just read a article on lumen brights and i'm more confused than before reading it. is the height the reflector needs to be measured from the bulb or the uv glass. i need to find out to build my light rack

Do you have a link to the article? I am intertested. and every thing that i have read says water to bulb.

12 to 13" from the water to the bottom of the fixture or 16" from the water to the bulb.

i go with 12-14 inches from the water to the bulb.

i believe mine are set at 16 inches from water to the bulb but it may be 18. i set it at the height that was recommended by the vendor. i am sure the height is listed in the lumenbright thread and probably in melevs thread as well. the nice thing about the higher mounting of lumenbrights compared to other reflectors is less salt spray and less heat in the tank.
