gotta love saltwater.....
i blew through there yesterday ,,WOW,,,,what a improvement !!!!! hes on the right path it looks like ,,,still has a way to go with ALL that paper work inside ,,,but it was MUCH better ,,,he has some real nice stuff in there this week as well ,, Zoa's were real nice !!!! he always has some nice clams ,,,,,,,, he even said Hi ,,,,, shocked me !!!!!,,,if he could somehow get some of his dry stock out in the front , it would sure clear the cluster look in the back ,,, keep going Aquatic tech !!!!

still a bit on the steep side with prices ,,,,,,,,,, hope he will come down just a bit on his livestock ,,,,,,,,,

the fact of the matter is 90 % of northern Ohio drives right past his place on the way to Salty (Aquatic is just a few miles off I-480 & I-90)
there's enough money in this hobby , and Aquatic and Salty are far enough apart for each get in on our action , and Aquatic has ALOT to catch up on when it comes to getting up to Dan and his staff at Salty's service,,,but it looks like he stepping it up to try to shed the image that has been created buy a few years of bad service ,,, wish him all the luck ,,,,,now i have to get ready to go to Salty today !!!!! lol ,,,,,,,, you see who is still my #1 store ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I've always liked aquatic tech. I've bought alot from him and will continue to do so.

Large renovations like what he is doing just take alot of money and time.

And the more we spend there, the quicker he will be able to do all renovations.

And it seems he is willing to turn his store around. I have heard through the grape vine that he wants to eventually put an addition on the back to put all of the dry goods in.

So coral up front, fish in the middle and dry gets in the back.

But once again, he just needs our business!

And for those that say his prices are too high... maybe on a few things, but overall I think he is very fair priced. He has the best clams in town with some great prices on them, flame angels for 59 bucks, blood shrimp for 35 bucks or so, etc etc.

Every store is going to have something that is going to beat out another store on price, it's all a matter of the vendors that they go through and the prices they get.

Even though there are a lot of stores around that sell saltwater stuff, none of them seem to specialize in it like salty and aquatic tech does. Sure aquarium adventure might have a pretty decent selection, but if you want to spend 240 bucks on a powder blue, be my guest... :)

I think salty is high on some things too, (i.e. just for recent - the RBTA's) but people just don't like to knit pick him because he is "Salty Critter"

Perhaps if aquatic tech has more business and is able to move more items, he can get a better deal on things from his vendors and eventually pass the savings on to us.

Thats just how things work.

And besides, where else other than aquatic tech can you walk into the door of a place and there be so much salt water in the tanks that you are literally blasted in the face with the smell of the ocean? Not salty critter! :D

he is on the right path for sure ,,,it looks much better that it did ,,, he still has a way to go ,,,but it looks like he has started that road ,,, wish him all the luck !!!!!!! i would love a REAL NICE saltwater store 10 minutes from my house !!!!!!!!!!!

cant wait to see it when hes done with his upgrades ,,,,,,,,,,,

Just hope some of the attitudes get renovated along with the building. Every time I'm in there no one wants to help me (thought about netting my own fish) and the rare times they do, they talk through me to Scott, even though I was the one asking the question. Don't get me wrong, I am still 100x more likely to shop there than Aquatic Technologies, but c'mon......If we're allowed to vote.....I think we should be allowed to purchase fish......
