Protect my stand

Just got done putting 3 coats of stain on my oak stand I am just wondering if polyurthane is going to be enough protection against salt creep. I was planning on doing 2-3 coats of poly before putting the tank on there

poly works for me vary well.

Poly is a great top coat finish to use. I wouldn't use anything but that. Buff with '0000 Steel Wool' between coats to get a nice smooth finish. Don't buff the final coat.

I bought some kind of marine stuff from a boat store for my hood. I wish I would have used it on my stand also.
