Protein Skimmer for 12 gal Aquapod

Anyone have suggestions on what type of protein skimmer I should by for a 12 Gal Aquapod?

If you keep the top on it is nothing out there for you i have try don't work .
Now if you hang a light over the top then you can use many of skimmers out there.
Any hang in the back will do but you need one with a remote pump so you can drop it where the sponge goes you can discharge the skimmer right at the return pump area.

Imo, a skimmer is a waste on that size tank, I would just do weekly water changes instead.

there is no way the ASM mini would work. you have to have a sump for that skimmer.

i use the red sea prizm skimmer on both my 12g AP, 24g AP and my 20g long frag tank. works perfectly fine and is not expensive.

I take some pictures tonight so you can see without the light hood how i set mine up with a remora skimmer .
I like to use a skimmer in the tank i don't have time to change water every week i have to many tanks .

Here is the picture of my 12 gallon aquapod with the remora skimmer .
As you see it is no factory hood on the tank i cut a 3/8" acrylic cover over the top.
I kept the sponge i use the 1200 MJ on the second chamber and the skimmer overflows in the third chamber the fourth chamber has a MJ 900 for a return and a 50W heater the light is a regular PC light i got from my LFS
This is FOWLR tank but you can easily put a MH light hanging from the ceiling if you like to go Nano reef .
Any thing more you need let me know.

Go with the Euro-reef.......it will blow the Aqua-C away. You should be able to find the Nano link on the ER main page.

Steveoutlow did you ever saw a euroreef nano in a 12 gallon aquapad?
just to let you know euroreef don't make a nano skimmer for a 12g aquapod they make one for a 24 gal aquapod.

The nano skimmer they make it has the pump fix right at the skimmer body it will no way fit in the small compartment that the 12 gal aquapod has .
even the 24 gal has to be open top to work with the ER skimmer.

Hey zoom.......yes, I have seen one. It's true you have to run it open top (same with the aqua-c in the pic you posted) and slightly mod the back chamber of the aquapod, but it will allow you to actually grow something more than a softie in the tank.

BTW - Where are the corals in the pic you posted???

How your nano Deltec skimmer running now? i see you did figure out your problem.
I don't like to put corals in that nano i just had to get the two BW clowns out of the 250g reef tank the old clowns was killing them so i just got the nano for them.
I will talk to Jeff tomorrow to see if he can make me a Euro nano skimmer for the 12G the remora was in the shed so i just use it for now i agree not to good.

I love my Deltec equipment i have the whole line.
You think the Deltec 300 will fit in the 12 g aquapod?
I saw lunchbucket/Eric put one on the 24G he has .
Any way i let you know what Jeff say tomorrow about a skimmer for the 12G.
