protein skimmer question

I just hooked up my new protein skimmer yesterday around 12 and so far I see the water going through and all the bubbles working well but so far no foam. and ideas. I have a feeling I am out of adjustment but nor sure what to do. its a cheap skimmer (sea clone)

Well I don't have a SC skimmer, I am running a Bak Pak+2r. But when I set mine up it took a few days to "Break In" and start skimming. So I would wait and just let it run for 2 days to a week or so to break in.

Hope this helps.

I have never had the 100 mine were always the 150's. I found that if you increase the air intake on them to the point where the output water flow is reduced they seem to work much better.

I tried it I also tightened the fittings up it just doesnt seem to be foaming at all is it possible that since the tank has only been together a short period of time there is nothing to foam?

if you want to use a HOB, just go with a aqua c remora pro.. more effecient than a bak pak..

I am using a sea clone 100 and it took a few days to break in. It is working great for me on a smaller tank, very dry, dark skimmate. The trick with them is to keep the pump and air intake clean. Other than that, no complaints.
