Protein skimmer

I am using an ATB 10.5 deluxe and absolutely love it. I am amazed at what it pulls out of my water every time I go to clean it.

Its been running about 2 months now and absolutely love it. Now the only other skimmer I have ever owned is an sro1000int which was good but never pulled out what this pulls out.

I'm having a 225 being built and I've ordered a Reef Octopus XP8000 internal skimmer. How will it work?... The verdict is still out.

wow that's a lot of skimmer for that size tank. what kind of bio load are you planning?

I'm running a SRO-3000INT on my 250G. It pulls out a ton but might be a little small for my tank. No issues so far but I'm not heavily loaded. Overall though I think the Reef Octo skimmers are a good bang for the buck.

Sps dominate w/ heavy bioload. My wife and kids love fish and I love Sps. I'll have to add a ca reator in order to replenish trace elements.

I've been running a Deltec 702 for almost 8 years. I have had 1 pump go out in that time frame. I only clean the pumps and body about every 18-24 months. I pump 500mg/hr ozone into it directly. I run all my RO waste water through the collection cup, which drains to a sewer line.

I set it up, and have never had to adjust anything on it. And it pulls out crud all the time.

I've run it with heavy bio-load, heavy coral load, and no load - and it's always pulling something out.

Deltec

Deltec

I've noticed that not too many on Rc using Deltec anymore. is that because lack of SERVICE or because it's too expensive? especially the 3070S

Do you have any picture of the TC2560 running?

Thank for sharing the pictures.
Is the 2560 10" tube and what is the neck size? I was looking to get the TC3070S but I thought the price is a bit too high.
