Ahhh, the good ol cheap skimmer that work awesome question....aquaeuro is great, via aqua, and even the ps160 by odyssea are all performing well. Check out the aquaeuro thread adn the woot odyssea thread, both popular and all about the average reefer.

I love my Octopus 110. It didnt hurt the wallet and it skims great.

Though not technically a sump skimmer, I used a AquaC Remora Pro hang on that I hung on the sump. It worked great and wasn't too expensive compared to how well it worked.
