protine skimming woes

I have a sea-clone 100 on a 55 gal. tank. The Question at hand is, Is there always going to be grunge being skimmed or if there is not enough protine to be skimmed or is my skimmer not working the way it shoud? I have nine small reef safe and one purple tang, some corals. I woud think that the bio load would be high enough to start skimming at some point. I have plenty of flow and plenty of air going into the chamber but no skimming action. Water parameters are in check. Is this normal at times or do I have a pos. for a skimmer. Thanks for any help

I would lean towards POS with that bioload on a 55 gal tank you should be getting a steady production of muck!!!

No offense but the only value a SeaClone has is the Maxijet used to feed it. They are notorious POS, especially on a tank of that size.

sorry but you have a POS skimmer. dont worry though, if your a little crafty you can modify it to work better. i wouldnt think of putting it on a bigger tank.
quickly here are a few mods, put a good air valve on, put a wood stone down the middle, cut the tube down in the collection cup, find on 'o' ring that seals the cup to the neck better, i have also heard of meshing the mj.
i did the first 4 on the list and finally got good skimmate.
there are several posts already on the mods, ill see if i can find them. maybe some one else here can help?
