Hey guys,

I know this has been talked about before...but..i am now the father to a RBTA clone..my Big RBTA split last night..and i want to give the new baby to a friend, how do i get it off the rock? Ice?..dont want to do something that might damage it, so, any help is very well appreciated!

I havent had to try this yet, but ive heard numorous times to try pointing a powerhead at its foot... should make in uncomfortable.. try changing its flow maybe? that made mine move lol

Ireef, do not remove it or mess with it for another couple of weeks, it needs to heal from the split and form it's mouth, moving will most likely kill it at this point.

IReef, your welcome.
When you see its mouth and the side has healed up he will be ready for his big move.
Make sure that he is eating before moving him tho ok?
Then remove him slowly from the rock at the base of his foot.
Have a bowl or fish bag handy and when he comes loose submerge the bowl or bag (filled with tank water half full)and slowly put him into it. Do not let him come up out of the water into the air.
Is your friends tank mature? Over 6 months old?
If so great. If not he needs to wait until it is.
Good luck on your new kid.:)

Here's a really bad picture- You can see both of them..ill try to snap a better 1..
