Late night reading at it's finest.
I was looking at which foods people are having the most success feeding their brine shrimp with, since I used to raise quite a bit of the little guys as killie food. One of the plants in there caught my eye. Mucuna Pruriens. I knew this herb from living across from a few interesting folks down at the university who had a vine of it growing on their balcony. A quick wikipedia shows why these guys grew it and why I thought it was interesting that it was making it's way into people's tanks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mucuna_pruriens#Pharmacology
Overall a very interesting plant, with 3 of those listed compounds being known hallucinogens. Reading through articles about what people do with their reefs(vodka dosing? I thought they were joking when I first started reading on it) never ceases to amaze me(doesn't take much to do so, might I add) with what people will try and have claimed success with, but this IMHO has to take the cake.
