Cool images Justin. I especially like the first. The glossy leading line of the road makes for a nice visual effect.

IPT: HDR 3 shots Processed in PhotoMatix.

klepto: Thx Its at the El Yunque Rainforest we spent a day hiking in the rain there! It was a blast.

TitusvileSurfer: We were on the southeast side the waves were
kind of weak. All we got were some shore breaks still fun though.

Reef Bass: Thanks! Notice the rain cloud over the dock in the background I did not see it until I was editing it.

Pretty nice shots, I like the HDR look for scenery.

Photomatix screwed up on #3 though around that pole on the left side of the screen, it lightened all the scenery around it. Other than that it did a great job though.

Did you get to walk down to the waterfall? Where are those pictures? ;) Nice pictures, I like # 3 and 4 myself....awesome job. Have family down there we're planning a trip there next summer.

It has been flat up here for a while as well.

Puerto Rico does get waves though, and so do we! The news depicts hurricanes as disastrous storms. I love the hurricanes and most others I know do as well. All of the schools shut down. There may not be power for a day, but it gives a legitimate excuse to drink with your friends and play board games or whatever. I always look forward to the storms of the year, and especially the waves they push as they come in. Hurricane season is just budding, so we should have waves soon. :)

You mean the news sometimes sensationalizes reality a bit? Really??? ;)

I wonder how bad this recession would have been if the news media didn't broadcast economic doom and gloom 24 / 7.

So TS, I'm guessing generators and battery backup systems are popular with reefers in your area? 24 hours without electricity would be a bad thing for my tanks.

Big waves are awesome. I can't believe we can't figure out a way to harness waves / tides as an energy source.

maelv here is a pic of the waterfall right off the road there.
We did hike to the fall off the trail but I did not take my
camera it was pouring rain did not want to risk it.

Waves and tides as a source of energy wouldn't be efficient, but a constant ocean current such as the gulf stream would be. I have heard of plans (in legislation) dealing with sticking turbines in the current and enjoying efficient energy from it.

Yeah you might be out of power longer than a day. Generators are common and if you wait until after hurricane season to buy in anticipation of next year, there are huge discounts to be had. I should start an E-bay generator buisness!

Justin nice to see that you made it to Puerto Rico! I live here all year and el Yunque is one of my favorite places.

Your photos are excellent. The first one is a magazine photo!

I know this guy, Pedro Olivo, that takes the most amazing photos of El Yunque. Check these.

If you want to see more just let me know.

Wow lusigo! Those images are beautiful.
