Puffer and lionfish

Well, I recieved my puffer from LA. He looks very healthy. It didn't eat the first day, but then gorged on shrimp the second day. He's been real picky since. He's taken a little krill/shrimp and new life spectrum, but that is it. I was suprised that he wouldn't touch clam, squid or silversides. What are you feeding yours?

Would any small eel work with the lion and the puffer? A snowflake eel? Are there any suitable smaller eels?
Smaller, eels that are common? No, however I don't think you should much of a problem with the current tank dwellers, provided that the tanks is large enough.

Jel, do the puffers fight at all? I currently have a Golden Puffer and was thinking of adding a Guinea Fowl Puffer in there with him?

The Golden Puffer is a Guinea Fowl Puffer at a later stage of life, they are the same species. Yes, they more than likely will fight.

Puffers with similar body styles are usually going to fight. Since all of those have the same body style, just different coloration, they will more than likely fight with each other.

Now that I have my spiny box puffer with the antennated lionfish, I am considering which inverts that might live well with them. Are there any starfish, urchins or other inverts that have done well with these fish, especially noting the puffer? Any particular corals that will do well? I have some softies and zoos that I was going to try knowing that may be snacked on.

How old are they and what size are they?

I've had the white puffer for 2 years and is about 6" long. I have the Gold Puffer for a few months and he's about 11" long....
