My FIL's Porc. puffer in which he has had for over two years, has stopped eating.
It acts like it wants to eat (swims up to food, and acts like it tries to bite the food, etc), but cannot open his jaw wide enough to take anything in.
I thought at first that it might have been that his teeth have overgrown, but I have looked, and it does not look to be the case.
I have heard that their is a disease in which affects puffer's ability to open their mouth wide enough to swallow foods.
Does anyone have any ideas, and/or remedies?
Have I misdiagnosed the teeth issue, in that I could not see the overbite?
Thanks in advance, as I want to do everything possible to save this fish.
