I know this is kind of a long shot, but is there such a thing as a reef safe puffer? Even the small ones?

I believe the valentini toby's can be reef safe, but from what ive heard they can be nasty little devils to other fish.

I had a little blue spot toby in a reef. He was very cool and beautiful! You can only keep certain corals with them, and they may just 'taste' them a bit if you add new stuff after them. Don't put gorgonians in with them though.. Or sps. They are a bit of a challenge to feed, as they have an ever growing beak. I would buy whole live clams, shrimp in the shell, mussels, etc. from the grocer to keep his beak honed down. There are certain inverts that should not be kept with them as well, and ones that will work..if you are interested.
