So Ive just recently gotten into the saltwater hobby...I have a 29 gallon tank with 2 26" T5 24watt lights..ive tested my water parameters and everything seems fine...i recently bought a piece of liverock covered in coraline algae..that came with a purple shroom..he was flat at the petstore, but after placing him in my tank..he looks puffy looking..hes located in the middle at the bottom of my tank and hes not under alot of direct flow from my powerhead so i was just wondering if this part of acclimatizing to the new tank or is he reaching out for more light.

A picture would be helpful but from the sounds of it, it's probably a little stressed. It will probably be fine a few days... shrooms are very hard to kill :)

I recently talked to a buddy of mine at a local petstore who has been helping me out with my liverock etc. He sees nothing wrong..

Puffy generally means it is happy with the water and inflated itself for more exposure. If it is reaching for more light, you'll be able to see the stalk. They will go 'flat' when they are stressed or in higher flow.
