pull back carpet?

I will be putting my 240 on it's stand today (finally). The room is carpeted over the slab of the house (new). Should I pull back the carpet, put the stand on & check for level, then put carpet back and put the stand in the exact same spot? Thanks!

The carpet would still throw it off a little. I would just level it on the carpet and fillit up. The weight of the tank should take car of any small differences.

I have my 90gallon on my carpet and my carpet had extra padding added as well. Mine is fine after some leveling here and there. Just ad water and use a level as you go making sure everything is fine.

Worked for me. Has been on carpet for 8months now.

I have my my 60x29x18 tank with stand and hood on the carpet. It has been there for 16 months, NP! Just made sure it was level then filled it with rock, water, sump, sand and so on and turned it on. Main thing is to make sure that it is not sitting on the carpet strip.. ^.^
