Pulse mode leads to very hot operation MP40 QD

Hi ETM,
Can you help me understand why when I run my two MP40 QD's in pulse mode do they become very hot to the touch. So hot that one can not touch their backs because of extreme heat.

I have cleaned them and checked nothing is rubbing and also verified correct spacer is being used.

Again this heat occurres only during pulse mode.

I have a couple concerns:
Having the motor outside the tank is to keep the heat there also, but at this tempature I am sure the heat is being transmitted to the glass.

Having a motor run at such high temps seems that it would shorten it's life greatly.

Feed back on these concerns would be welcomed.

Thank you

Settings,

The pulse modes available will cause the motor to operate at a higher temperature simply because the motor is working hard. That said, assuming the controller is not flashing any error codes, the dryside motor can be warm/hot to the touch. Also, please make sure you are using the correct dryside spacer to allow for coolest operation.

Thanks for addressing my concerns. NOT
