I wonder what kind of pump you guys are using to feed korallin 1502 from the sump. I have used aqualifter and also rio 50, but I have to change it often.
TIA

Tap into your return ( let your return pump from the sump feed it ) All you need in a John Guest fitting, drill a hole into your PVC, insert the fitting, and run the 1/4 inch line to your reactor.

Thanks.

Yinger: Yes, but what I mean is the pump to feed the reactor.
Dizzyswimmer: In the long run, I think that is the best way, but I can not do it this time.

Any other input?

TIA

What do you mean "I have to change it often"?

The pump become weaker and weaker and I have to replace it, if not the reactor will jam.

I know what your talking about mine does the same thing, often clogs and throws everything out of wack. I was thinking of switching to a mj for more pressure. If I dont drip the effluent out of the top of the reactor, and use the other drip line(the one the instuctions say to use) then when the aqualifter clogs the reactor begins compensating by sucking air from the 2nd drip line. So I started to use the 2nd line( the one from the top) helps as far as keeping the eflluent drip more steady but once the aqualifter clogs it causes problems and I have to clean to get a staedy drip rate again.

Yes, thank you for helping me to explain the problem. This is exactly what happen. Other powerhead should work but how to adjust the output to the size of airline tubing for the reactor input.

I havent looked very hard but im sure there is a adapter. I have read on rc were people were using mj's to feed the reactor.

Do you know which MJ will work? MJ 900 or 1200?

Yeah, I can not do search at this time, but I need to get a solution soon as I do not want my tank without calcium reactor for a long time. I will see if I can do something with MJ900 then.

Just take some of the white teflon tape and wrap it around the end of the tubing untill it will fit snugly inside of the MJ outlet. Friction will hold it in place.
