Pump for SWC-300 Skimmer?

I've not been active in the hobby for a few years.

I have a SWC 300 skimmer that was running 2 sicce 2500 pumps with mesh wheels. The pumps always have start up and seizing issues.

What is a recommended replacement pump? I found old posts that recommend the askoll 1500, but seems those are not made anymore.

The psk 1000 would be the replacement pump. Great pump and no more start up issues.

I've been doing some research. What about the RODC 5500s or a Bubble Blaster 5000? I would only need one pump @ 50 - 55 watts in place of running two psk 1000 @ 67 watts ea. w/total 134 watts.

Yes, the rodc 5500s should work perfect. You will have to find a way to close off the other input.

I swapped out my psk 1000 for the 3500s and it's dead silent.
