Pump help

The pump on my protein skimmer stopped working. :( I took it out and took it apart to see if it was just something in it preventing the impeller from spinning. It looked good. No sand or snail shells were stuck in it. When I plug it in I can feel the motor working but the impeller is stationary. If I put my finger in the output I can make the impeller go and it works fine then. But if I unplug it and plug it back in it does the something, nothing. Can you guys recommend anything else to try to get it to work?

I'll look into getting another impeller for it. I have only had it since the end of February this year.

Another thing you can do is clean the inside of the pump and put the impeller back in. keep turning the pump on and then off until it starts. If you are lucky it will start, now don't turn it off :D lol

Its an SCA-302. I bought it from scaquariums dot com. I have contacted them and I am waiting for a reply.

Yeah i cleaned out the inside of the pump too. If I could get the skimmer back into the sump with out turning it off that would be great. The pump is in side the skimmer cone body. It's a real chore to get the skimmer in and out of the sump due to my short stand. When I build a new stand it will have more working room underneath.
