I have got a Little giant 4-mdq-sc pump. it had a 1" inlet and 1/2" out. what would be the best way to hooke this pump up and am wanting to have it retern to both sides of the tank. this pump in my main. and is coming from the sump with 1" pipe. thank you :bum:

1" pvc from the sump to the pump, and 1/2" pvc all the way to the middle top of the tank, then T it off up there and install your return heads. try to use 45* elbows wherever possible to reduce head loss and if you have to use 90*'s try to find ones labeled "street".

i run a manifold and has worked out well, go check the advanced forum they have a coupel threads and also do a search, you'll find good designs you can just copy and make from normal pvc

Sorry to hijack the thread but I have a similar dilemma. Why does it have to go to the top of the tank? Can you use a true wye instead and have it go to the return on each side?

I was told 1 line going up would have less head loss than 2. The street 90*s have a smoother transition around the bend than a traditional one.

at the top of the tank the retern will T should i have 2,3,4 returns off that T at the ends i am going to have the Pacific Coast Flow Accelerator
