Pump question

So I have a standard 10g that I need more flow in. I am keeping mostly lps and softies with a few sps. I was thinking about Koralia's but I don't like the mounts they have. I have decided a Tunze nanostream will be my best option. I am wondering, for that size tank would the 6015 or 6025 be the best choice? Here is a link to what I am looking at.

Does anyone have any experience with these? Before anyone says get a Vortech.....I will for my next tank. This is just a temporary tank until I get a larger one.

Thanks.

tunze are big and bulky i had no luck with them if you look on the vendor site on here seems like a lot of problems with them i rather spend a few more and get a vortech or the new maxijets work well and it comes with the circulation feature for a 10 gallon it will do nicely

The new maxijets are junk! And I'm not being biased. The new shroud that comes with maxi jets that turns it into a powerhead only clips on, so it's only a matter of time before the shroud flys off into your aquarium.

If you can swing it, buy a vortech mp10, you will be happy and it will last a long time and work with many more aquariums if you choose to upgrade.

With that said, if you decide to go the tunze route, I would get 2 6015. 1 6025 will give you a whirlpool effect. The 6015 moves a good amount of water, it's just a lot less aggressive. I use one to keep my sump moving so nothing settles, and I couldn't imagine keeping anything but sps in that kind of flow.

Yes but you can get away with just using one of the pumps and if you’d like you could still use the timer with it.

With a 10 gallon you’re going to limited to what you can use. I love the mp10s but not everyone can afford them. Hey can you glue a piece of black pvc in one of the corners? Cus if you can then you’d have an overflow and this opens up a world of options. Like drill it and put a pump behind it. Or don’t drill it but run a drain from a canister down inside it like this unit http://www.amazon.com/AquaTop-CF-30...244G/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1333548802&sr=8-2 then the only thing you’d see is the return. But if you mount the spray bar along the black seem under the top brace, this would give a good amount of flow across the water surface and push the crude into your overflow box to the canister.
