Pump Question

I am in need of a pump that circulates 1100gph.

Here is the catch, it's for a good friend in Cuba where getting additional parts or repairs are literally impossible.

I am looking for a reliable pump at a good price without being too cheap out of fear that if it were to break I would be at square one again.

In your experiences what pump would you recommend that I purchase for my friend?

No pump lasts forever, but I have had a lot of success and years of service from Mag 9.5... that may be a bit small for your use.

I'm running the Iwaki WMD-30RX(T) with good results. This is the American version, which is said to be lesser quality than the Japanese version. Very reliable, pretty quiet for an external, and I believe parts are available from several of the major on-line retailers if needed. It also meets your flow requirements. Here are the Iwaki pumps that BRS carries.

Have any of you guys tried a Rio 26 HF?

IMO that is the cheapest pump for your buck and I have had good experiences with Rio products in the past.
