pump question...

I've always used in sump pumps for my systems before. My question is, what are the pros and cons to both methods? I keep hearing about noisy pumps so I'm assuming that these are hard piped in. Do the in sump ones create too much heat?

Imo here is my pros and cons

Insump - Pros- Less noise, if the pump leaks it leaks into the sump, can add needed heat.
Cons - Can add heat if not wanted, Chance of stray current.

External -Pros - Not much added heat, usually provides more flow
Cons - Noisier, if pump develops leak it could cause water damage.

Im sure there are more but those are just the few I considered when deciding to run a pump.

Yeah I'm leaning more towards insump. it will take a little more room inside of the sump but I'm OK with that. I'm sure for bigger systems a big hard pipe pump would b ideal but I just have a55g right now. I always keep temp in my apartment around 73-75 so the heat shouldn't b an issue.
