Pump Recomendations

I am curently setting up a 110 show w/calfo overflow and custom stand. I have a Aqua Sea 2700 pump for my return. The problem is my wife thinks it is to loud [humming]I think it is tolerable. What other pumps would everyone recommend that have about the same flow rate but is quieter if at all. I have put up some sound barrier in the stand and I dont have enough room to box the pump.

Is the pump resting on the bottom of the sump and then plumbed with PVC to the display? You could try adding a hose barb and some vinyl tubing to hang the pump from the pvc an inch off the bottom of the sump. This should reduce a lot of the vibration noise.

Not a guarantee, buts its a cheap thing to try.

I don't know how much flow your pump is, so don't know what size to recommend, but I'm pretty sold on both Oceanrunner's and Eheims.
Both are quiet, cool, and efficient.
I have an Eheim and can't hear anything but moving water.
OR's are on sale on fostersmith right now, great deal.
