pump recommendations for my setup help

75 gallon RR with 100lbs of LR and moderately stocked but soon to be heavily. I have a big sump underneath with about 30 gallons of water. Right now I'm using an old pump (not even sure of the name) that provides about 600 gph back to the tank. Is this enough? If not, what pump would you recommend for my setup?
Keep in mind I use 2 maxi jet 900's and another pump that provides about 300 gph for flow inside the tank. Thanks

Is this a reff ready tank or one that you have to use a overflow box with? If it uses a overflow howmany drains do you have?

A 1" drain can handle 600 GPH, a dual 1" drains can handle 1200GPH.

it is reef ready with the overflow. my return line uses 3/4" tubing reduced to two 1/2 inch tubings with flare nozzles into the tank.

How high are you pumping the water back to the tank and are there any 90 degree angles in your pluming on the way back to the tank. There is a hugh posibility that you are loosing a lot of GPH and that you can up your pump to get the actual GPH going into the tank to match you overflow's capability. Check out the head loss calculator and see.

For example: I have a Mag 7 (700 GPH) for my return but I'm only getting about 450 GPH back to the tank. I'm getting a Mag 9.5 in two days to better match my overflow.

I use the Eheim 1262 as my return on my 90 gallon w/30 sump and it is great -- a lot of flow. The pump is no inexpensive but they make a great product.

I

A 1 in drain can DEFINANTLY handle more :) I have a Velocity T4 on my 90g which enters the sump via 1 1in drain. The pump is rated at 1220 gph :)

Well, with a non pressure rated pump (Velocity T4) rated at about 1220 gph with a maximum head of 18', you really aren't getting that much more than 600 gph, maybe 700gph.
