Pump safety

I have a Tunze 1073.40 that the plastic has come out of the epoxy. Is this pump still safe to run without electrical hazard? I dont know how deep the wires run into the resin that would guarantee safe operation.

Is this serviceable?

I would not consider it safe to use, in theory the inner wires are still sealed to the motor but it has less protection. How old is it? If it is less than 2 years old it would be replaced under warranty.

Hi Roger, If I kept receipts for all of my equipment I wouldn't have a place to sleep
It has to be under 2 years since this tank has only been up since may of 2013.

Please send it in, it will have a date code stamped on it, usually on one of the ears of the motor block.
