Pump Size

I need a pump to go from my sump/fuge up to my display tank it will have about 6 feet of head
Will a mag 12 work or will I need some thing bigger
Tank size 125 gallon

I recently was running a Mag 12 on a 56 column with about five feet of head. Split to two one inch returns I really was not getting much flow at all and had to upgrade. For that size tank i would go with something a bit bigger

Do you want to use for additional flow or just a return? If just a return it should match your skimmer input pump flow rate, any more is a waste. If its flow then you should go a bit bigger.

It would be just for a return I have two Koralia 4 in the tank now and will be adding one more some time soon just to add some more movement to the surface of the tank. But as of now I think there is plenty of flow in the tank fish are happy and I don't see any dead spots. What do you think?
