Pump upgrade suggestions? Uber quiet!

+1 on the Vectra. I have the L1 for my return and the M1 powering my skimmer/UV. Both are dead silent. My tank is 5' from my couch in the middle of the living room and you can't hear a thing.

I reduce the power on the L1 so 95%of my water passes through the UV/Skimmer system. I run a low flow sump. Don't use the return for flow in the tank. Turned up, the L1 has plenty power to give you flow up top too.

Take a look at Deepwater Aquatics pumps. Based on their flow curves you should be able to get a lot of flow even considering losses.

Almost bought one a few months ago but couldn't find much/any reviews on them.

I had a brand new Vectra L1 and immediately got rid of it after hearing of the issues of owners saying they are running hot. Freezing up and breaking the impeller and other issues.
Like others I went with a Royal Exclusiv Red Dragon.
They are built much better than the Chinese Vectra. The stator is much heavier and with the titanium impeller and titanium parts it is built in Germany.
