Pump vibrations

Just set up my nano tank an ada 60P, with a cabinet kind of ada style DIY
just started the empty tank, no sand just water

i got a tunze 6020 on the longer side of the tank, but i have to shut it of because vibration noise was too annoying, i got an old maxi jet and set it on bottom glass with just one sucker attach to glass, because if i attach all 3 of them i ear a similar noise even if less loud

it seems like the cabinet it amplify the noise, not sure if is that
if hold the tunze in the water by its cord can't hear the noise
if attach it to the glass i hear that sound

can the absence of sand be a cause?

yes Sand to do it but you could also put a thin rubber mat on your tank in between stand and that would stop vibration noise

Yes. Putting a layer of sand or gravel can dampen the sound. You could also set the pump on a pile of filter floss or foam to stop the vibration.

i have ada garden mat between cabinet and tank
so maybe is the tank itself that is vibrating

i chose tunze pump because it says that it has a silence system for vibrations

ada garden mat
