Pumps safe with wavemaker

Does anyone know of a list of pumps that are wavemaker safe?

In particular is a Cobalt Neo-flow? I tried it quick and it seemed to be very quiet on start up and off.

Buy a real wavemaker..
You can pick up a PP series,etc... Jebao for cheap

Normal "AC powered" powerheads use an synchronous motor and the speed is matched to AC line frequency.. "Direction" is also not guaranteed and many feature a rubber bumper of sorts to essentially knock it back to the proper rotational direction when it starts running backwards.. Frequently hitting that bumper WILL cause it to fail eventually/quickly.. It could be starting backwards 50% of the time it starts and thats not good for it..

Thanks. I know what your saying but I was trying to figure out if that Colbalt is indeed one of those type of pumps or not.. I didn't think it was.

Thats the 12V adjustable power supply one right?
If so it should be just fine..

Not sure if its got a soft start or similar function that might make it not so great to use though.. But if you tried it and it seemed to stop/start fine/fast it should be ok..
