what's up forum?
I just got this guy hooked up which took forever since i'm very new to this and because they're directions (or lack thereof) are horrible. their website vertexaquaristik.com is of equally no help. so i turn to my online community.
it seems to be producing fine but i was looking to get some insight as to what exactly the TDS meter was reading. i was under the assumption that the meter read the influent (my normal tap water ppm) but i thought tap was usually 140-150ppm. i know that varies greatly but i don't think gainesville has a good source of clean water. (no snow melt down here). or if it's the water coming into my tank, i thought TDS was supposed to be much lower, closer to zero than 21....
i could be totally off but any suggestions or comments are appreciated.
and i haven't measured feed:waste ratio but i will eventually, to give everyone that hasn't bought this a more well-rounded review. from what i've noticed it looks about 1:1.75.
