Purchase question

I am going to make my first tunze purchase a 6105 with a 7096 controller.

I am replacing one of two maxi jet modded with this pump in my 180g. I can only purchase one for now and I am hoping another 6105 later. Will having one in my tank be worth it? Trying to make the right decision here. Will I see a improvement in my tanks health with just one?

not a silly question at all. It is hard to say what will constitute an improvement as sometimes it will be opinion based. A pair of 6105s on that size tank is typically the ideal choice for Tunze, they are a fair amount stronger a modded maxijets at full speed. With the single pump using the controller you should be able to get a fair amount of alternating/random flow you cant now with the current pumps.

For us yes this is preorder as we are currently sold out waiting on more to arrive. Hunting around you may find others that have them. But Roger has mentioned that supply will be tight for a few weeks due to holidays etc...

My budget allows 500. Would a single 6205 be much better as a stand alone pump in a 6ft 180?
I wouldnt have enough then for the 7096 controller. Maybe use the single 7091? It looks like its being discontinued.

I would stick with the 6105 personallly with a controller and put the money saved towards the 2nd one later
