Purigen vs Chemi pure/elite

What are the differences if any, and what is your choice if you choose to run one of these or both for that matter and why.

I heard a lot of great things about both but not sure why to choose one over the other or if it is effective to run both

Chemipure Elite is a mixture of carbon and granular ferric oxide. It removes organics and phosphate. Purigen only removes organics and silicates.Purigen can be regenerated and the other can't.

I dont know about the Purigen. I ran the chemi-pure Elite for quite a while with good results, might have been in my head but I do think it made the water VERY clear.
