What are your opinions on this ? I have seen many tank with both in them , and I would like to put both of mine thogether in my 125. What do you think ? Will they fight ???

Some people say they have success adding both at the same time, but most of the time I see them together it seems like a ticky existence between the two.

That's what I don't want ! My purple has it's own tank it shares with 1 small blue/green chromis and a Midas blenny , but I would love to put it into my big tank.

I added a purple, yellow, and a sailfin at the same time. I had no problems in a 150g tank and try to get them the same size and have lots of hiding places would be my sugguestions. Good luck

I'm not sure I want to take any chances , if they were to fight and my Purple lost I would not be vey happy !

I have 9 tangs in my 450g DT, including 2 purple and 1 yellow...they were added at the same time, and get along fine

^^ Well YEAH, that's a 450g!
Big difference.
Hard to say what I would do, I keep just one tang in my 150g
Limited space w/ tangs tends to lead to claiming what little territory they have.
When I say ticky, I mean obvious signs they are not exactly buddies, maybe a little tail flashing, or it could get worse, yes.
I would like to think you could pull one if it doesn't work, and most likely could, but there is that chance of a bad boo boo.
I've been wacked by a tangs spike before, it can be pretty nasty.

I had the combo in a 210g and never saw them fight. Like everyone else said, the key is adding them (sm/med) at the same time.

imo and ime, purple tangs can raise some serious hell once they establish themselves regardless... however not all have this same experience...

GL :)

Thanks for all the opinions , I am NOT going to subject either of them to possible uncomfortable living situations ! I already have 3 Tangs in my main tank and my purple has it's own tank. They are all Happy and healthy , and that is how they will stay !
