Sorry Pete, I had no idea.

I was in an auto accident in March. A week later, Pete let me know I would be watching his tanks for a month, I really wasn't up to the task, but I did it stiff necked anyways. I'm still reeling from headaches and foggy mind a couple months later, opcipital nerve damage, or however you spell it. Still struggling to maintain my own stuff.

Sorry Pete, I didn't know they bleached. They looked fine my last trip there. Here's right after I fed them a little piece of shrimp. They looked to be doing great, and looked dark dark. I'm really sorry they bleached on you.

Here's what I've got before that.

They were doing so well. Sorry bud.

it is ok Dave, they are looking good and coming back so just need a little time. Hope you are better Dave. The most important thing is your health not the nems, they are still responsive with feeding so they will be back and notice their zoo color is darkening.

I am glad that Dave is doing better, and the anemones are doing better. From the looks of the algae, I think they may have gone sexual on you. Something could have cause them to go sexual, and also cause bleaching of the anemones. Or the algae may have cause the bleaching if you have a huge amount of algae.
What did you think happen Pete?

not sure minh, they are under MH 400 watts now, maybe just low kh for a week or two. They are starting to color up but will take time. I will keep you guys posted, thanks Minh!

The blue looks exceptional. Very healthy. The purple one does not look bad either just not quite as good in term of health as the blue

yes I agree Minh, I think it is going to just take time right now, notice that it is darkening and at least they both eat too. I will keep posting weekly until its final return to actually how it looks with previous pics, I cannot believe how much they bleached. Taking extra live rock out with the macro algae, seem to help and daily changes of water.

Blue looks like it's coming back faster. I can see it improving, there's a little color coming back I can see. Both look bleached still. Keep doing what ever you're doing. :) That purple may be slower to color because it was a cut gig, even though it looks like it's doing well, it's still acclimating/recovering, and will be for months. I've seen mine bleach, some have colored back within a week, some longer than a month. All are individuals. Don't push it with feeding, keep those pieces small and frequent. Just enough to make them fluff up with a reaction. better a slow recovery than a fast melt.

So how are the others? Did they keep their color? How is that little silver dollar size green you've got? The others weren't as dark as those two, guessing it's because LED vs MH? Man, what a shocker to see them so white after seeing them so dark.

Nem updates, here are the pics Dave, the yellow and purple one recovering nicely.

They are still somewhat bleach but coming back, patience/ water changes.

Looking good bud! They look like they're coloring back up. :)

Pete, I noticed a HUGE difference with your blue when you switched to the 400 watt MH lamp. The blue tips really worked it's coloration farther down the tents, and the brown color got really dark. That purple sure has a lot of colored algae in it's tips still. Eye candy! :)

Seeing your yellow, I wonder if my greens would go yellow under a 400 watt MH... That guy looked brown when you first got it. Not brown anymore!
